My hotel and airline reviews are honest reviews of the way I experience and feel about travel. We all have a different views of what we want in an experience, somethings are important to some and other things important to others.
I try to point out the comfort factor in my reviews, I don't really pay much attention to food on airlines, but I will mention it. I look at how comfortable I can lay flat and sleep for the money I spend. I do use Qantas points for travel or upgrades.
This means what I review is factual and not swayed by what I can get out of a review. I am not payed to say what someone would like me to say.
I’m brand loyal so that does help with some perks. But these would be mentioned. For example Platinum Marriott Bonvoy member

This video was shot in September 2023 when Qantas used an A380-800 to Singapore on a Saturday only. I used 102,000 points for a very rare "First Class" redemption seat. Plus taxes $198.00 (Approx.) They say 5A is the best seat, I would say 4A is better as it's the only seat that has 3 full windows.

can someone tell me when you buy first class ticket then emirates lounge food is free and included in your ticket fare right?
Emirates now have different tiers for First Class, only the top tier will include Lounge access. Hope this helps.

Hi Damon~ What do you think the Renaissance KL between the Le Meridien?
Difficult choice. I always had a suite at Renaissance and Le Meridien are much smaller rooms. But if I had to choose it would be Renaissance. But my favourite hotel in KL for over 20 years is Westin. I know all the staff including the GM and get extremely well looked after and love their Club Lounge. Hope this helps

Sadly, during the 30's-60's this level of comfort was made available for all passengers, not just first class.

Hello, what are the evening alcoholic beverages available in the club lounge in the evening? Is there cocktals and champagne or is it mainly beer, wine and mixers?
Most hotels that have an Exec or Club lounge will only serve, Spirits, Wine and Beer & sparkling wine, definitely not champagne. Gin Rum Whisky Vodka and mixers, the only Club that serves Cocktails inc Singapore Sling, Long Island Tea Cosmopolitans is Shangri-La. I have stayed at most hotels in KL and the above is the same, let me also say food selections at most hotels is half pre Covid. I experienced Westin Oct 22 and Feb 23, JW Feb 23 Shangri-La Feb 23 and Le Meridien.
@DamonTheTravelGuy Hello yes I last stayed at the Shangri La KL in December 2019 and Jan 2020 just before Covid and I remember they had a cocktail menu but no champagne/Sparkling Wine. I am back there in a few months but looking to split my time between Shangri La and another hotel. Do you have any experiences with Mandarin Oriental or Grand Hyatt club lounges?

Overall which property do you prefer considering the breakfast, lounge service etc, would you choose the jw marriott kl or westin?
That’s actually hard to answer. I think overall I would say Westin. I do get looked after at Westin as I know the GM but that aside the Club is better and variety of food and spacious rooms. JW is a nice property but does not have a welcoming feel. Hope this helps.

Yes there is a wide selection of food. But I would have to say the selection is not as great and the afternoon tea is nowhere near it is I was before Covid
The only drawback is the seats are a bit reclined. I prefer full flat like Cathay Pacific. Still a decent product. Would love to try Qantas for comparison in my future trip to Sydney. Might be mid of the year.

This is still the better Le Meridien! Used to stay here often as it was the company preferred meeting venue. They have actually reduced the amenities in the room since it was first opened. I prefer the buffet here compared to Le Meridien Putrajaya. Lounge in KL Sentral is also much better. One of my friends who stays in Seremban love to bring his family over for staycations.

Hi Dave, as I know the GM at the hotel I am unable to publish my “special” rates. But that room would average MYR 800+ a night inc Club.
Just FYI the same suite in Feb when I next travel is MYR896 inc tax. £168
I flew from Singapore to Brisbane in that configuration.
Its quite a bad Configuration considering they fly to Sidney in that seat from Singapore.
I don't particularly like there Business Class products.
